 Copland's Rodeo
Author: Micaela

Hello! This is my first post. I'm a freshman in high school in New York.

I'm the clarinetist in my school's chamber orchestra- we play for ballets. We're trying Copland's Rodeo next fall- the four dance episodes, that is. What does the clarinet part look like? Is it for B flat or A? We just finished our first production- Peter and the Wolf- how does Rodeo compare in difficulty? I had to work quite hard on Peter but I managed to pull it off. Is there a second clarinet part (i. e. Will I have to enlist the grumpy 2nd clarinetist from wind ensemble)?
