Hey, I'm looking for a Pete Fountain transcribed solo book. Supposedly you can get it from Aebersold
Pete Fountain's Greatest Solos. Transcriptions of 16 solos. $11.95. Available from Jamey Aebersold Jazz Inc., P.O. Box 1244, New Albany, IN 47151-1244, tel (1-800)456-1388, [www.jazzbooks.com].
Can't find anything about it though. Amazon has a listing for over a thousand dollars. Does anyone have any info on a pete fountain trascription book or where I could obtain one?
Thanks

I have the 1961 version of "Play clarinet like Pete Fountain" with 10 of his transposed Jazz classics with Piano accompaniment. You might try doing a search on "Robbins Music Corp. New York N.Y." Good luck.

It appears that the ICA collection at the University of Maryland has the Pete Fountain book in their collection:

Zachmozach- Any luck on finding these PF transcriptions? I must have been looking about the same time as you. I tried to email Mr. Vernon, with no luck.
