Wow!!!
Neat homecoming. It might be worth mentioning that in addition to more Army Band personnel being CONUS (here, instead of there) there are now over 200 less military band slots in the Air Force.

Yes, currently we're very low in numbers, but the typical army band is not nearly that large. At full strength we should have 38 people besides the commander/conductor. We currently only have 25 and the commander/conductor, and because of balance concerns, we only use 20 on ceremonial/marching band jobs right now. Unfortunately (largely due to the war I think) we don't have enough bandspeople throughout the Army to fill all of our slots. You have to work with what you have though.

Division military bands are like circus bands. Small in numbers, big in sound.
It's good to see the full division back at Ft. Riley. I assume members of the Big Red One still take offence if the emphasis is placed on the second word.
