 New to Texas

Just arrived in Texas last week. Anything musical or otherwise upcoming that I should try to make it to? I'm at Ft. Hood.

Just shoot me an email.

Otherwise, I'm just hanging out. Haven't gotten a chance to play in a VERY long time (a few weeks) with all the red-tape and out/in-proccessing I have to do with the army. Hoping to get into a practice room somewhere soon. (No playing in the hotels :( )

Practice room......... hmmm.

I recall having to grab a tree some days at the 4ID band hall. There may be better facilities since then (1996). What you really want to do is get together with the better musicians and form your own chamber group. There are some interesting pieces in the 4ID library but it's always a good idea to look for your own favorites. My best hunting was done searching numerous recordings and tracking the music down from there. Southern Music is "relatively" close and they have gobs of music.

Good luck.
