I just recently attended the Interlochen summer camp where I switched from using a vandoren M13 Lyre to a vandoren M15-13. I stuck with the same strength reeds (Vandoren 3 1/2 V12) which was working for a while. Now I'm starting to feel like I have no control over the reed and I feel like I'm getting a much thinner sound. Any advice would help, thanx.

Just out of curiosity (and ever so slightly off-topic) - why did you change in the first place?

Before the summer camp i was using a B45 and my teacher at the Interlochen Academy wanted me to change. One of my studio members let me borrow his M13 Lyre until the end of the summer camp which he was also going to. When i got to the summer camp i told my teacher i needed to get a new mouthpeice because i needed to return the M13 to its owner. We tried a bunch of M13's and M15's and she and I both liked a M15-13

I'm not sure how useful it is to hear other people's experiences, especially when they probably don't play as well as you.
But I use an M15, and I find Gonzalez FoF #3.25 give the best sound, but Rico Evolution #3 are less tiring to play.

If there are so many people on this board unwilling or unable to have a civil and balanced discussion about important issues, then I shan't bother to post here any more.
To the great relief of many of you, no doubt.
