I have an older Evette-Schaeffer wooden clarinet that I am trying to research. The Evette-Schaeffer name is inside the upper arc of an engraved oval, with Paris in the center and France on the bottom of the oval. Underneath the oval is Modele Buffet-Crampon. All 4 body pieces are stamped with the same logo, and the serial number on both main body pieces is B388. While Buffet serial number lists are readily available, I believe most don't include the Evette numbers. Any ideas where I can find any information? Thanks so much.

I have already searched this BB archive, but most information is about the K series, with A and B series only getting passing mentions, and only one mention of a 3 digit serial number. This is my primary horn, and while it stands up extremely well to a wide variety of playing circumstances I'm not sure if it's valuable enough to retire from outdoor play.
I'm trying to decide whether to get a cheaper horn to use for outdoors and keep this one for indoor performances, or to keep using it for outdoors and maybe try to get a professional horn for indoor concert work.
Ideas?
