There is a failing root disk on the master Web server. I will be duplicating the root disk/testing/replacing all the old disks with new disks over the next week, along with upgrading the (now out-of-date) operating system. There will be periods of downtime as I do this - hopefully none more than an hour in lenght. Since the sites and BBoard are accessed worldwide and in all time zones, there is no convenient time to get the work done without affecting someone.
There have been 2 disk failures in one year now - time to replace all of them with faster/better disks.
