 Yamaha CSG

I recently evaluated a Yamaha Bb CSG with silver keys. Great instrument but the only thing I noticed, and this may be just my perception, is that the clarion register sometimes seems to have a hard edge to it. Gorgeous chalemeau regsiter! Didn't know if it would play sweet/mellow enough for chamber music. Would the hamilton plating help this? Anyone have any comments about the csg?
