 Reed Blanks

I was just wondering if anybody knew of anywhere that I could buy reed blanks that did not have the first cut in them. The Zonda and Rigotti reed blanks have the first cut already made in them which is too deep. Thanks for any suggestions.

i would suggest making your own blanks out of tubes. This way, you can control every aspect of the process.

There is a place in Chicago area, Nielsen Woodwinds, that has blanks without the first cut. Maybe Davie cane too. I would echo what Rodrubber is saying though.... making blanks from tube can be easy and effective, especially if you have the right tools.
