I'm thinking of pursuing graduate school in Europe. Are there any recommedations for an M.M in music I can pursue? The only barrier is the language barrier. I don't know any European languages except a little bit of French. I would like to be more adventurous than studying in England.

first of all : as a European (belgian) I'm extremely confused with all this 'american' expressions : undergraduate, graduate, minor, majoring,...
surely the Belgian school system (and grades) are completely different. So first check that one out. We have great teachers though ;-)
E.g. in Belgium you can't get any (high - when your are 18 to 2x year old and want to become a professional) music education at a university. As far as I understand it, you can only become a Master of Arts in a Conservatorium. A special music/theatre school
Also during regular high school there is no serious music education. if you want to learn music you have to go to a separate 'music academy' (music school) in your 'off school hours', on top of all the rest. Standard high school program of ± 30 hrs/week, music school an additional 4 hrs/week (excluding home excercises) - but it's cheap :-)
About the language barriers, they are only there to be torn down ...
I don't known you contry of origin, but it never hurts to learn an addional language, and the universal language called 'music' is a great start.

You might want to bear in mind that in the Northern European countries, especially Holland and Scandinavia, a high proportion of the population can speak English very well. In Southern Europe this is not the case. "A little bit of French" will not get you very far in France.

If there are so many people on this board unwilling or unable to have a civil and balanced discussion about important issues, then I shan't bother to post here any more.
To the great relief of many of you, no doubt.
