I want to get new sheet music, but I really could spend a lot so I could get the stuff I want... I really wouldn't like to have to pay every time I need something to challenge me (pretty often) so I would like to know if anyone knows where to get free sheet music...

I think the Boston Public Lieberry at Copley Square has a pretty good stash. Jump on the MTA and go check them out.

There are all kinds of websites with free downloadable sheet music. Just google "free sheet music" and explore; you will find plenty.

go in to your local store with a really big coat
just kidding of course ;-)
I do think that it is worth it to buy as much standard repertoire as possible to try to build up your library. You will be glad you have it for performing as well as teaching.
