I've been playing about 2 hours a day lately, more than usual for me, and have been experiencing increasing pain and soreness in my left elbow. I've rested it for a week (stopped playing--ugh!) and iced it but not much relief as yet. Anyone else ever had this problem and can suggest solution?
Thanks in advance for any feedback

Yes

You've already done the basics. Now see doctor/therapist. Internet diagnosis is dangerous at its best ...

"get a neck strap"
What does a neck strap have to do with pain in the left elbow?

Mark has given you already the best suggestion that you can get, see a doctor...

See a doctor.
but also try playing your clarinet slightly to the right. I play mine slightly to the right. It seems to decrease pain in my Left elbow (same way I play the sop sax). I also use a neck strap to relief pressure on my RH thumb/arm.
getting older stinks .... I guess I would lift weights too to build up my strength.
