Hi all, I was wondering what level I will be after completing a music minor? Is a music minor considered a qualification? What level can a music minor be compared to the ABRSM certification?

The ABRSM website has vast amounts of information on it, including some very friendly forums. You would propably find it easier and quicker to get an answer there. As a rough indication, (based on people I knew from Uni although I didn't do music myself) most students doing music as a degree level subject have at least grade 8 practical before starting. Many have further ABRSM qualifications too. If you are looking to play for money then you would need to be right at the very top end of this scale.

Grade 8 distinction, or a reference from any emminent musician to say you are of that standard before a Conservtoire in England will consider you.
