I am considering replacing my Leblanc Noblet due to cracks. I have been very happy with the Noblet otherwise. After reading all the favorable comments about the Forte clarinet I am wondering how it compares with intermediate and pro horns, especially when it comes to tone. If any of you have one and can compare it to your experience with step-up or pro horns, I would appreciate any comments. It sounds like a terrific value but I also have a Vito plastic horn which does pretty well, and even at the favorable price of the Forte I wouldn't want to duplicate what I have unless the Forte is really equivalent to the Noblet.

Can't comment on a Vito, but I can say for sure that the Forte has been a major improvement - in every respect - over my Buffet B12.

Hey!!!
Hopefully the Dr. will chime in here. He would definitely be able to answer any questions you might have!!!
After a quick search of the BBoard, I came across several threads of interest. There are more, but this will help get you started:

Best Of Luck!!!

P.S. Cracks can be repaired and if done properly will be virtually invisible to the eye and will return your clarinet to normal. If you were happy with it before and saw no need to switch instruments, this may also be an alternative!!!

[ The Doctor is certainly permitted to answer specific questions about the Forte clarinet, but as to his personal opinion on your possible purchase, it would be better to contact him off-line - GBK ]
