 Old, vintage Buffet -- B9881
Author: kholmes

I have an old Buffet-Crampon clarinet -- Model B9881, bought used in the 1960's in New York (with original case). I have no idea of its current value and have not seen anything on Buffet clarinet models that begin with a "B" only. It is in so-so condition, but still a beautiful instrument. The clarinet was left to me by my father and I do not play, so I don't even know if it is playable, but if it is really old or rare may be of value to a collector of fine, old Buffet clarinets -- to put on display. Any idea out there as to its approximate value?
