hi all,
I am recently playing Sir Malcolm Arnold's Concerto no1, and I find difficulty in shifting notes between first ledger line B and second ledger line D in 16th notes in the the first passage. Can anyone give me suggested fingerings or advice to that?
Thanks :P

Try this:
Finger the B as normal
for the D use 'Open D' (take your left hand completely off of the clarinet, (no thumb or fingers from the right hand either)) ---NB: dont take your right hand off completely or you will drop your instrument on the floor and won't be very happy!! B-)
it is a flat sounding D, but when played as 16th's it doesn't notice and gets a nice fast and smooth result.

I use this fingering for high B (w/Th and Sp key) - oxo|ooo, then the usual D fingering - oxx|xooEb.

Developing flexibility in the embouchure by using the standard fingerings is actually a good practice to work on.
However, here are some additional tremolo B - D - D fingerings to try:
Play B with: TR x o o / o o o (Ab/Eb)
and then tremolo to D by using: TR x o x / x o o (Ab/Eb)
Another choice (which only works pitchwise on the Bb clarinet):
Play B normally: TR x o o / o o o
and then tremolo to D by opening the throat A key while still keeping the 1st finger covering the 1st tone hole: TR + A key x o o / o o o
------------------------------
BTW - an interesting "variation" on the second fingering choice (if you find the D is too high pitched) is to play the B: TR x o x (C#/G#) / o o o
and then tremolo to D by opening the throat A key:
TR + A key x o x (C#/G#) / o o o
...GBK
