Found one advertised on sneezy with an autograph from Pete on the case but just missed it. Some say the sound is a "little fat". Whatever that denotes. Probably not a horn you'd play in an orchestra.But... if you play just feor yourself or in a Jazz band it might be hot.Did you find one for sale?

I'm working on getting one now. I do not play in a band. 100% by myself. Some day this may change.
I like movie tunes, broadway music, jazz and ballets. This may be the sound I'm looking for.
Thanks for you comments.
Bob

I play a LeBlanc Pete Fountain model 1610, and it does the job for my purposes, apparently same as yours. It does have a large open tone, but sweet. It doesnt appear to have the weak throat notes you hear everyone talking about. Most horns come with unusable mpcs, but the Woodwind K10M works for me. I also bought a P.F. crystal at the same time. I am
very pleased with the horn. (I don't work for LeBlanc) :o)

Some-time back, I had the opportunity to check-out a LeB "Dynamic H", same bore [15.0] as the P F, it didn't have the 7th ring and the alt. Ab/Eb however. I liked it very much [as I do most LeB's] but didnt detect much diff. from my L7 [14.85 mm ?] which is OK for what jazz I still play!! Try them all! . Don

I wonder if the PF model can be had in full Boehm configuration?

I also play the model 1610 with the K10M, which I like very much. I bought a PF crystal at the same time which plays very stuffy, I haven't had any replies re: refacing.
