 Orchestral Musician's CD Rom Library
Author: Morrigan

Sorry if this is a stupid question (It is, but it's something I don't know). The Orchestral Musician's CD Rom Library; am I correct in thinking that it is a set of CDs where you can print off FULL orchestral parts?

What format is it in?

Cheers, thanks.

Yes and be sure to triple check your order. I once received a couple of Horn editions as a birthday present, it's an easy mistake to make!

I recently got all six volumes from my old teacher as a gift, and I must say, they are quite good. For the most part, the quality of the sheet music is excellent.

Just an update: I received my CD's today and the quality is just awesome. This is truly a fantastic tool to have at your disposal; I've already started working on some parts that I haven't officially received yet!

I ordered from Van Cott Information Services (www.vcisinc.com) and Gary was very helpful and friendly. There was a small discount for purchasing all 6 volumes at once too!

Glenn, I'm assuming they are in PDF format, yes?

I just received my six volumes, which arrived very quickly. The sheet music is very nice, and well organized. I am very happy with everything.

I have the Cd Rom and it is really good. Wishing they would come out with a Clarinet one! Pressers has one for Flute Solos as well as Flute Etudes, but none for the Clarinet Literature. At least there are Orchestral parts done. I use the Vocal, and Violin Cd also for sightreading.

Oh, my GOD!!

The Bach DVD I ordered turned up this morning ... I can truly say I was speechless at the quality. It's simply amazing, well laid out, beautifully engraved (thanks obviously to the 1800s Bach Gesselschaft edition) and cheap!!

wonderful to navigate (all in PDF) with a sensible table of contents

Without music, the world would be grey, very grey.

Really brings back the days when if you wanted the excerpts you had to order a seemingly endless array of books from international. I was happy when I found the Bonade book that had a lot of the more famous excerpts. I'll have to look into these things...........

My final comment on the DVD that Glenn (GBK) pointed me to: the Bach edition, whilst spectacular, has one (minor) drawback: it uses the soprano clef in the cantatas and motets ...

Without music, the world would be grey, very grey.
