Re: E11 Serial Number and MFG dating

The E11 came in (or was rebranded) at the same time the B12 had been rebranded in the mid '80s - prior to this they were both stamped 'Evette' and the plastic bodied one was also known in the UK as a 'B&H Regent II' for a while - then it became the B12.

The 'Made In W.Germany' stamp on the back of the bottom joint disappeared on both of them (in the UK) when the Buffet logo was stamped on them, though they were (and still are) made by Schreiber.

They have Schreiber's own system of serial numbers, which is a completely seperate numbering system from Buffet clarinets.
