 which mouthpiece?

I just recently acquired a Selmer bass clarinet. It appears to be made in the late sixties. It needs some work to bring it back to playing condition. Other than that, it is beautiful. It's range does go down to low C. I haven't played bass clarinet in 20 years. Does anyone have any suggestions on an appropriate mouthpiece? Thanks in advance.

Tony -

Everett Matson is going strong in his 80s and turns out excellent bass mouthpieces. You buy a new Selmer C* (about $100) and send it to him (or, if you're near enough, go to his home workship in southern New Jersey). He says the C* is so close to being good that he only needs to do a little work on it, so he's remarkably inexpensive.

Other possibilities are the makers on the Sneezy sponsors' list.

Best regards.
