A few months ago I mentioned that I bought a light ligature from Pomarico. Well...today, it cracked. One of the screw holders snapped off of the main body of the ligature, and is now useless. It is past the WWBW return period, and I sent an e-mail to Pomarico asking them for a refund or replacement because of the low quality of the product. Is there anything else I should do? Has anyone else experienced this?
My Setup:
R13 Clarinet (Ridenour Lyrique as my backup/marching instrument)
Walter Grabner K11 mouthpiece
Rico Reserve 3.5's
Bonade ligature

I guess till you get an answer from Pomarico there's nothing short of using your backup ligature. One shouldn't tamper with evidence...
If for whatever reason they choose to refuse to replace the ligature, you can try to have it soldered (difficult given the fragility and the plating, I guess).

How long has it been since the the return period past? I've had very good service from them, for example, the barrel of the Buffet I bought from them cracked and it was after the warrenty expired, but they sent me a free Chadash barrel as replacement (notice I said the warrenty time past and not the return period time - the difference as far as I know is the return period is a time you can simply return it for whatever reason and the warrenty is the MUCH longer time that if you have a problem they will fix it but they decide how like repair/refund/replace).
You should really contact WW&BW and tell them it broke and it is possible they will help you, but don't write something silly like "I know the return period past but...." just tell them you bought it from them and it broke (maybe give an order number or something if they ask).

I've dealt with the Pomarico family as sponsors for years now and it's been a pleasure to deal with them; I hope your dealings are the same.
Another thing that may or may not apply here but it's something to think about: my credit cards automatically double the warrantee/guarantee period of anything I buy with them. That service, which I think most people forget about, has literally saved me thousands of dollars. Your card may or may not offer this service, but if it does - it's an EXCELLENT service and easy to use.

Ok, I sent an e-mail to WWBW, and hope to recieve a response soon (from either company). Thank you for the advice.
EDIT: I just recieved the following message from Pomarico:
Dear [ElBlufer], I am sorry for what happened to you. Many costumers around the world use our ligature and this is the first time I heard something like that.
Anyway, if you send me your postal address, I will send you another ligature as replacement.
And I hope the new one would lasts more than the last one
Kind regards
