 Mouth Piece by Ponte

I recently aquired a set of crystal mouthpieces from a retired pro. The words on it read "Ponte Artiste" one with the number 2 and the other 3. I could not find anything on the internet about them at all. Does anyone know anything about these mouthpieces? I've tried playing on them and found it difficult until I tried softer reeds. I think they are maybe used for jazz? I dunno, but any info would be great.

Charlie Ponte was a NYC freelance player and had the best music store in the city in the 1960s and 70s. He put out lots of stencil equipment with his name on it. The crystal mouthpieces you have are probably made by GG.

Go to Search, enter Ponte and check this board and the Klarinet archives for lots of stuff.
