Indeed a "new way to get a buffet"

I needed a new R13 Bb and did not have the time to travel to audition a gaggle of horns for selection. So I took Walter Grabner at his word about "a new way to purchase Buffets."

OK, I know that the service is offered by others, and I assume they are very good, but I had prior contacts with Walt and liked his service and style of doing business. So I placed a call and within days I had two
marvelous instruments from which to pick (or reject...but that wasnt necessary).

I liked both, yet each had slightly different characteristics, as expected, and as indicated by Walt ahead of their arrival.

Walt offers a two week trial period.

A week later I had my teacher try them. He recently went through the process of selecting from a very reputable dealer, so he knew what he wanted to find for me.
Both instruments were deemed "great"
One was a winner, based mostly on how I sounded on it.
The other was clearly great, too. It would have been a keeper for my teacher had he needed one.

I am pleased to recommend Walt Grabner for the purchase of new Buffets.

Disclaimer: I have no financial interest in clarintXpress.com, in fact, Walt and I compete in the Barrel making market (we are both on the Forbes 10trillion list, likely at the bottom). I received no special discount, and posting this is MY idea and my way of thanking Walt for doing what comes naturally to him.

Sounds like the same quality of service and value of expertise you get when you order mouthpieces from Walter and tell him what you are looking for and have him pre-select for you.

I also purchased my Bb R13 this way from Walter Grabner too. I had a hard time trying to find an R13, and so I looked into Walter's "new way of buying clarinets". I had to purchase a shorter barrel for the clarinet (a 65 mm), but the clarinet overall is great! I can play well in tune, and it has a pleasent sound and feel. I also got a special pricing for his back to school sale, so you all might want to keep your eyes peeled for any of his specials. I'll definantly consider Walter Grabner again when I have to purchase a new clarinet. He was easy to work with and was very nice to talk to. Thanks Walter!

Walter is a great guy to work with on anything clarinet-related.
