Maybe it's "their" version of From the Top?
Is that theme music from The Last Samurai?

The language is Japanese.
Must be some gag show putting two idols compete against each other to do variety of "unusual" things. The narrator says "Which of you can successfully play the bass clarinet" and so on.
I think that the first player should be the winner. Rather hear the "air" than the poor sound. Ha!

Thanks Massa;
It seemed like a gag show, like the "Idol" shows we have here on US TV.
No big deal, just a cute bit, thanks,
John

Ya it looks kind of challenge show like Fear Factor... and rightly so with the frightful sounds that COULD have come out of those instruments, imagine if one bit on the reed!

In case anyone is interested, the music at the very beginning is from the soundtrack to Escaflowne the Movie. And the music that runs through the rest (including those little hits when their turn ends) is from an anime called The Big O.

The contestants were indeed professionals (ie cute professional models).
This was a test of new prototypes of the Moraintless-LaBank bass clarinet vs. the next offering from Phorte. Since the latter is just as good at one tenth the cost, it was the easy winner.
No, that was not Ron with the flags...it was the ghost of Leon Lester.

FYI:
Ron Reuben loved the video. He'd like to be the flag man for the next round.

Pathik -
Go to the linked site, let the entire video load (i.e., the light gray area reaches the end of the line), click on File and then on Save As, and then give the file a name and save it to your local hard disk.
