 William Albright

Good afternoon everybody,

I picked up a 2-disc set of Joplin Rags played by William Albright (an organist and composer from the U. of Michigan who died a few years ago). He was a big part of the ragtime/boogie-woogie/stride piano revival in the late '60s. After being blown away by his technical abilities I began to research him. It seems that he wrote a piece called "Abiding Passions for Woodwind Quintet." Has anybody performed or heard this work? Is anybody familiar with William Albright in general?

Thanks,
Dan
