I recently purchased a Conn 424n which has no barrel. What would be a good replacement?

Hi B G - I suggest consulting the "barrel makers" to obtain one of suitable diameter/taper?? for what is prob. a "big-bore" [15.0 mm] cl. Both Selmer {CT} and Leblanc {Dynamics/Pete F's} made B-B's also and a barrel [from a repair shop] might be suitable, and less expensive. AM thots !, Don
Thanx, Mark, Don

Find someone that has a Conn 424 barrel, get the dimensions, and have a barrel made.

Would it be cheaper just to ebay the junkiest 424 with a good barrel on Ebay?
The rest of the instrument is in great shape. I've tried it with other barrels, I'm just curious about what I'm missing by using small bore barrels.

The Conn Director series, and Conn 16 should be the same size.
The hard rubber barrels won't crack, either.
I wonder if a Vito would be a close fit?
I think MusiqueWeb of San Antonio has a stash of these.
