 Bass clarinet altisimo again

Hi

I asked about altisimo a few times before but this is a little differnet. I would like to ask for suggestions for altisimo notes on bass clarinet. How would you suggest to play a chromatic scale let's say from altisimo F# to D above that will comfortable and in tune?

I looked in the fingering chart of course and some was helpful but not much.

I've played solos before up to D and managed to find good fingerings that fit in the phrases every time I needed/wanted to.

I will later check exactly the phrases I need to play this time but I basically would like to be able to play easily and in tune a chromatic scale.

Here are the fingerings I usually use.

F# - R T 1/2x x o o o o (sometimes +Eb/Ab key)
G - R T 1/2x x o o o o (+smaller 2 right side trill keys)
G# - R T 1/2x o o o o o (+smaller 2 right side trill keys)
A - R T o o o o o o (+smaller 2 right side trill keys) this is flat.
or A - R T 1/2x x x x x x (in tune but hard to move from other notes)
A# - not sure atm but maybe R x o o o o o (and maybe trill keys)
B - same as altisimo F# but overblow (easier to finger) or same as C# above the staff but overblow.
C - same as altisimo G but overblow.
C# - same as altisimo G# but overblow.
D - same as the flat altisimo A fingering but overblow. D is in tune unlike the flat A.

The notes I'm really not sure about are G# A Bb B but advice on all those notes is great.

Thanks and any help would be appreciated.

Nitai

Have you seen Terje Lerstad's bass clarinet altissimo fingering chart?

I once played a piece with a screetch bcl. part and found some fingerings that worked for me. Overblowing a throat A natural gave an altissimo C. Throat G sharp gave an altissimo B and so on down the scale. The notes were not very stable but with a little work I could usually play them. Hope this helps.

Which bassclarinet do you use ??

I think there are some differences between the manufacturers !!

On Leblanc i can play standard clarinet fingerings up to altissimo Gand even A ! ( older leblanc bassclarinet though )
