Hi everyone,
Anyone know if there is an arrangement of Shepherd on the Rock for string quartet instead of piano?
Any thoughts on this?

Rob,
One of my favourite pieces ... works so well on so many levels. However, it is rather pianistic (not surprising) and can't think that it would work particularly well in transcription. Who knows? The Australian Chamber orchestra often performs works arranged for strings; there needs to be a certain amount of license used. An alberti figuration, whilst perfectly playable on the piano (or clarinet for that matter - think the trio section of Mozart's 39th symphony) does not always work comfortable on strings (I play viola as well as clarinet).
Would be a challenge for an arranger.
Without music, the world would be grey, very grey.
