G. Valette ???

I just bought a clarinet from an antique store. On the side it says G. Valette paris, France and that is all no date. There are what appear to be serial numbers on the bell and on the first fingering joint.
The keys are a bit different thatn in normal clarinets. Anyway does anyone know of a way to find this manufacturer(has anyone even heard of it??), or how to tell what kind of clarinet it is??? ie..Bb...etc....
