Has anyone tried a brand of reeds from Nashville called My Masterpiece? I just got some in the mail for my Bass Clarinet and they are great.

I believe they are made by the old Maccaferri (sp?) company, which has an interesting history (see their website, I think it's under "French-American Reed Company" or something like that) -- they were minor pioneers in the various use of plastics -- also their reeds were marketed as house brands for years, under many names (and might still be for all I know). I wasn't aware they were from Nashville, though, I thought they were made in New York or New Jersey.

Well.. I actually heard of them on a Bass Clarinet group on yahoo and was sick of having to sand down all my reeds that i was buying, so i decided to try them out and the first box I bought i think only 1 of 5 needed a small adjustment you can buy them on ebay just type in Bass Clarinet reeds and they will show up half way down the page its cheaper then buying them on there home page and its well worth the 15.99 for five reads. I have probably saved A LOT OF MONEY on reeds cause they last so long and I don't have to make very many adjustments to them.

I believe they aren't the same strength I think a 3 for My Masterpiece Reeds would be a 2 1/2 for Vandoren.
