Braverre' Clarinet

I recently purchased a French-made clarinet that has Braverre' stamped on the joints and bell. This is a rather nicely-made instrument, with dense, close-grained grenadilla wood, undercut tone holes in the lower joint, and andchored posts in the lower joint (tab & screw). The serial number is in the 2xxx range. The Braverre' stamp and logo (an open wreath) are exceptionally crisp and detailed. It's a rather attractive horn and I look forward to getting it back into playing condition.

The only thing that Google turns up for Braverre' is that it's the name of a Spanish race horse ... not much help.

The instrument came in an A. Fontaine case that has a name banner across the inside corner of the lid, sort of like Buffet's R-13 has. The case has a 1950s look about it (yeah, I was around then). I realize that it may well not be the original case, but that's all I have to go on now.

Anyone ever heard of this marque?

I think this may actually be brevette. I think this means patented. It appears on many french instruments.
