Hello everyone,
I'm hoping someone can help me find a great clarinet teacher for a student of mine in Cypress, California.
I am a professional flutist and an inexperienced clarinet player! I've been teaching him for some time, but he really needs someone who specializes and is great on clarinet. He is at an intermediate level, with a lot of potential I believe.
So grateful for any and all references!
(The closer to Cypress, the better.)
Thank you!

Check around at the local universities (Long Beach State, Cal State Fullerton, et. al.). There are bound to be numerous excellent instructors. You can also check the local high schools to see if they have any recommendations for teachers.
Sorry I can't give you any names, but Phoenix might be a little drive!

I'm a student at CSU Long Beach (not giving lessons at the moment though). As pzaur suggests, the universities can refer you to a good teacher. If that doesn't pan out, send me an email and I'm sure I can find you someone.

My son is studying with Amanda Walker at UC Irvine which is probably pretty close to you. He is very happy with her. Her website.

My son has not taught, but is able to hear quickly what I am doing wrong and give me great advice. He might not have time to give lessons at this point as he's taking a math degree as well as music degree.
If you'd like to contact my son let me know and I'll arrange to get his email or mine to you.
