 suggested repetoire for Bb clarinet

Hello everybody!
I play clarinet in my high school and am hoping to go on to become either a music educator or a professional clarinetist. I know there is a lot of music I need to learn before I can do this, but I'm not sure what all I need to learn. Does anyone know where I could find a complete list of repetoire for clarinet? If you do, please email it to me, it would be greatly appreciated.

A complete list would take many, many pages. However, Richard Faria, a professor at Ithaca college, has listed the basic repertoire at http://www.ithaca.edu/faculty/rfaria/rep.html.

Well, I was going to give you the jury lists they pass out for clarinet requirements at University of Western Ontario, but Mark's link removes the need to do all that typing ;-)
Bookmark that link, and you'll know everything you need. Make sure that you focus on technique exercises; fluent scales and arpeggios will give you a real headstart. One good book that I didn't see listed, though, is Jean-jean's Vademecum. Some of the exercises there are rather difficult, but they'll make an amazing difference for you. Hope this all helps!

Richard Faria's list is a tremendous resource, well-organized! I like the way he separates clarinet alone, clarinet in chamber music, concertos, etc.. Thanks for posting that link.

Mr. Faria's list seems pretty complete. For comparison, you could also check out the lists in Keith Stien's "The Art of Clarinet Playing", Daniel Bonade's "Clarinetist's Compendium", and there's a good list of gradiated studies and solos at the Hite Site www.jdhite.com.
