I found out yesterday that the new case that my local retailer had ordered for me from Selmer has been "discontinued" and that there is nothing similar to my old case in their catalogues. It is therefore up to me to locate something suitable (i.e., it must have spaces for two barrels, no zippers, space for extra mouthpieces and other accessories) so that they can order it.
I have searched without success. If anyone knows where I can get a case similar to my old one (picture attached), would you please let me know?

Hi Hans,
I would watch EBAY for this kind of case. I imagine this same case will show up on there. The only way to find a case like that is to have it made or buy it used. Good luck on your hunt.

You may want to ponder about one of those foam-filled aluminium cases, often used for photo gear. You pluck out the foam bits you don't want, cover everything with plush and presto! your new case.
I faintly remember having read about such efforts in this newsgroup - check the archives.

My condolences on the demise of a favorite case. I am sorry that I have no useful suggestion for you. I went through a similar situation with my old Buffet case. I never found what I wanted and eventually settled for a Protek (won't meet your specifications). It's a good enough case but not like beloved worn out favorite.

If you, or someone you know is capable of modifying the interior with foam and plush lining, briefcases that look like this are sometimes available on internet auctions.

Hi Hans - My Leblanc case , the original for my L7, is much similar, having "holes" for one barrel [came with 2] and a cork grease tube, possibly enlargable. It has end and front [about 2" wide] slots for extra barrels/mps and other things. You might look on _ _ _ Y for 1970-90 Leb's to view, I cant show mine here. Much luck, Don
Thanx, Mark, Don

Paxman made a wonderful clarinet case--aluminum shell with lots of interior spaces. I've used mine (hard) for over 20 years and it still looks like new, except that I had to replace the original canvas cover with one from Wichita Band Instruments. Here's a link to a used one from the UK:

PS. Just reviewed your picture== the Paxman is a double case, might not be your cup of tea!

Find yourself a Jupiter Carry-All Case. The price will be very reasonable compared to what you have been looking at.

Hans, You could try a Buffet Attache case- the double case has space four barrels, 2 mouthpieces, a storage space in the front and also music storage in the top. Also, check out WoodwindBrasswind has several cases including one of their own that's reasonable. Allan
