Another option might be to modify the neck you already have. I was told by a geart bass clarinetist who plays a 1920s Buffet bass that he got a neck modofied at a brass lab. He only got the angle changed, but I think they would be able to make your neck into two pieces.

You can try to contact Buffet and ask if they have a two piece neck for the model you have.

Good luck.

I assume this is a cork-tenon neck with no register key on it? (I believe that's how the Buffet 1180 is set up). Perhaps you could try a neck from a Noblet bass clarinet, or a Robert Malerne (or the dozens of stencil brands under which the Malerne was sold, including King, Conn, Olds, Boosey & Hawkes, Linton, Evette & Schaeffer, etc.). Certainly a tech could modify your existing neck or another one to give you the length and angle you want.

The Bay neck is likely to cost more than your instrument! That aside, Bay made many different models, some with cork tenons and some with metal sleeve tenons. So you'd have to ask Phil Muncy if he has a neck to fit your instrument.
