I have seen advertised new E11 Buffet Clarinet supplied from China. I presume they are made there but cannot be sure. Would appreciate comments if anyone has experience of playing and or buying these instruments
Thanks Stanley

The Buffet E11 used to be made in Germany by Schreiber. Maybe this has
changed.

Buffet and Schreiber are no longer under common ownership, so it would not be astonishing if Buffet have outsourced manufacture to a company other than Schreiber. But a Chinese company? Does anyone have the facts?

If there are so many people on this board unwilling or unable to have a civil and balanced discussion about important issues, then I shan't bother to post here any more.
To the great relief of many of you, no doubt.

One thing about the E-11's is that they are dead on consistant. Very good craftsmanship. Back 20 years ago I didn't feel that it was the case, but since about 1990 or so, it has been that way.
I hope they don't leave the German craftsman.
