I'm performing this in two weeks and I need some program notes. I have not been able to find anything particularly useful through Google. Does anybody have some commentary they'd be willing to share?

When I ask for RESOURCES, I get thwarted; when someone asks for the notes themselves, you give them resources?!

Morrigan...
Relax, the 2 reference links I provided are certainly available through Google, although a bit more difficult to track down. They hardly give enough information for program notes.
As always - reference books and biographies are a good place to begin.
In this instance, after getting some general background from Groves, I would strongly suggest looking for John Warrack's biography of Weber. His biography of Weber (which includes details of practically every work Weber composed) is the standard, and should be available in most larger libraries, or through inter-library loan
BTW - John Warrack is also one of the contributors to the Weber article in the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians ...GBK
