BC 20 Buffet clarinet

I own a BC 20 Buffet clarinet. I have not been able to find any information on it.
I have a feeling it was discontinued. Does anyone have any information on this clarinet?

I have the same problem. i have a Selmer 10 and it is not listed in the Selmer web site. maybe you will have better luck if you check the buffet site.

I used to play on one of those buffet. I sold it 2 years ago. These I think came out in the 60,. I bought mine in 1966. the problem with those buffet is that for the American countries they are pitched at 444. They are useful for the European market. Although they are excellnet instruments I had to play pulling the barrel out and lowering the right hand fngers in order to play the most in tune. Good luck if you still have yours.

Dear Sarah To my knowledge writing from the United Kingdom the BC 20 was an earlier model. One of my students inherited. It had forked bflat and the wood was not stained, also the keys nickel silver and not plated. Unfortunately, like many Buffets coming into the UK ( Boosey & Hawkes clarinets were the major instrument until Buffets were brought int o the country with S1 and R12 clarinets just over 20 years ago) However the BC20 was ever so sharp being produced for the higher pitched French market.The student got rid of it for a Buffet R13
Buffet should be able to date your clarinet numbers.
