Hi All!
I've played clarinet ever since I was 12. I'm old now, and am playing on a regular basis after many years of off and on playing. I received a Korg CA-30 Chromatic Tuner and was wondering how the heck do you use this thing? I used to tune on open G (F on the piano) on the tuner at school. Do I need to calibrate this thing for G or if F shows in tune, assume the tuner is calibrated in C? I know this really sounds dumb, but I would appreciate any help that you can give me! Please note that I am electronically impaired.
Thanks!

The tuner is calibrated in C (concert pitch)
If you play the note G on your Bb clarinet, it will show as an F on the tuner. (Just like when you used to tune on open G, which was F on the piano)
Don't forget to make sure the tuner is set at A=440 (or A=442 if you prefer to tune a bit higher) ...GBK

GBK,
Thanks for making my day! The instructions in the box were as clear as mud!
Happy New Year!

How do you make a double-bass play in tune?
Chop it up and turn it into a xylophone.
