EBAY!!!
No. Visit as many local music stores as possible. See what their trial period for test playing instruments is. Go in with a tuner, your own mouthpiece, and your own reeds. Test play as many festivals as you can/want, compare tone, intonation, etc. Then test all barrels and bell combinations. This will ensure you get the best matched set available.
Or you can do business with any number of online retailers. Buy a minuimum of three (charge card, anyone??) and keep the best one, and send the other two back.
Post back if you have any additional questions!!!

Scott,
Actually, visiting as many stores as possible won't do you a whole lot of good. Only certain dealers are authorized by Buffet to carry the Festival [my company is a dealer, and I didn't actually find this out until we sold one a couple weeks ago]. My recommendation would be to email Buffet at info@usa.buffetcrampon.fr and ask for the listings of dealers in your area that carry that particular model.
Good luck in your search.

Brook Mays Music is a dealer for Festivals. I've bought 2 from them. Try their Dallas store. You won't find them advertised on their website because they aren't supposed to advertise them and their price. The last one I bought I paid $2,995.00 for (including taxes).
