 Riethmüller sonata
Author: Ralph Katz
Date:   2005-12-29 15:27

I am looking for information about the Sonata Op. 36 by Helmut Riethmüller and its composer.

A web search uncovered these facts:
dates - 5/16/1912 - 2/28/1966

Professor of Composition at Wiemar

Compositions:
Sonate fur Klarinette und Klavier, Op. 36 (1950?, pub. by Peters)
Trio für Violine, Klarinette und Klavier, Op. 46 (pub. by Sikorski, Peters)
SINFONIETTA SERENA für Orchester, Op. 47(1957)
KINDERLAND-SUITE für Orchester, Op. 50 (1964)

Several religious texts also link to his name.

Biography available only in German (Sikorski)

Gema.de website lists him as Prof. Helmut Riethmüller, "Member of the Board of Supervisors"

Any information will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ralph
