I've noticed this BB is rather international. Anyone from Holland or know about music scene there? My wife just booked us a bicycle trip across Holland durring Tulip season.

When we dropped across the border into Brugge, Belgium in the spring of '70 the streets were full of choral music and carillons. Beautiful. A sunny spring day, with scudding clouds and an aural treat.
Enjoy your tour!

Holland is one of the most interesting and musically most progressive countries in Europe in every respect. The classical, jazz and avant garde scenes are all of highest international standard.
In Amsterdam you have the Concertgebouw http://www.concertgebouw.nl with the famous Concertgebouw orchestra http://www.concertgebouworkest.nl . The hall hosts several world class artists every week. For jazz you’ll find several very good clubs with excellent performers. Try the Ijsbreaker http://www.ysbreker.nl for avant garde and experimental contemporary music. There is a big opera house as well as a ballet theatre. There are also many Early Music events of all genres.
Get the magazine: “De Uitkrant” for an update about all cultural events going on at the moment.
