Hi,
I am wondering what people think of this recital program:
Finzi Bagatelles, Cahuzac Variations..., Brahms Trio

Hello,

Maybe a bit short? Perhaps add one piece? Other than that, it sounds like a good concert. It looks as if, from your IPO, that you live in Maryland. If so, let me know when your concert is. If I'm free, I'd love to hear it. Good luck.

Have you started working on these yet? The Brahms is harder than it looks & sounds; be sure to give yourself plenty of time to learn it, discover it, explore it, etc. etc. with the rest of the ensemble. Get a good cellist and an even better pianist!

I always liked to toss in an unaccompanied work on my recitals...Each of the three I ever did had one.

Jr. Recital: Sutermeister Capriccio
Sr. Recital: Stravinsky 3 Pieces
Grad Recital: Rozsa Sonatina and one of the above ones...it's been so long I can't remember which one I did twice!

I think it's nice to have a variety of instrumentation. Keeps the audience on their toes!!

Add an encore to your program: Perhaps an unaccompanied show-off piece. fireworks.
