Im wondering if anyone knows anything about Borbeck mouthpieces. there isnt much information about them anywhere, and id like to know a little more about them before i go and try a few. Anybody know about the Antares II? what's that all about?
Any info is appreciated. thanks

Enter "Borbeck" in search screen at the top right side of the page. Under sites to search, make sure that "The Woodwind.Org Clarinet Bulletin Board" is searched (it's not checked by default). You'll get plenty of earlier threads on the subject.

Mouthpieces are a very personal thing, so what works for one may not for someone else. But I have 5 of Robert Borbeck's mouthpieces. They are still my favorite and work well for me. I use his #14's and #16's.
I would recommend you try them.
Good luck.

The Borbeck Antares model mouthpiece was built on an older Chedeville (Qualite Superieure) blank.
Borbeck is another one of the top tier of mouthpiece makers (Smith, Johnston, Fobes, Pyne, Hill, etc...)
I have a very nice Borbeck 16 which I picked out in the 1970's. I actually like it better than my Kaspar ...GBK
