After sampling nearly 30 different mp's, Ive finally found the right one for me, the Clark Fobes San Francisco CF+. It was like magic when I played it. When combined with an eddie daniels II Rovner ligature, and a 3.5 Gonzalez reed the sound is amazing for me. Im playing a buffet tosca greenline with the standard barrel (will be trying some chadash and moenigs soon) and this combonation sounds great. I'm returning to playing after several years so I'm learning as I go here. Thanks to everyone for all the advice so far!

I have the Fobes 4L and think it is great. I have tried quite a few, but the Fobes is very freeblowing, has a lot of volumn, and matches the Leblanc LL quite well.

Clark makes great stuff. His mouthpieces are very consistent, very reed friendly and very comfortable to play. They play great all around the instrument with great intonation, great tone and are very flexible. Although I prefer the CF+, I recently had the opportunity to try some of the Cicero style as well as the 2M facings, and all played very well. Clark truly is a master craftsman.

And for your Bass Clarinet, try the Clark Forbes, San Francisco, NOVA, with a Rovner lig and a 2.5 Lurie. You'll like it.

"And for your Bass Clarinet, try the Clark Forbes"
I don't know about Clark Forbes, but I do play a Clark Fobes mouthpiece on bass and it is my favorite mouthpiece for bass (and I've tried a few Bays, Grabners, Garrets, Pynes, Ridenours, Viottos, and tons of Selmers, Vandorens, and Pomaricos).
Of course, this is just my opinion. Others, who might have more experience than I, will recommend different things.

Carnibass,
Which Fobes facing do you like on the Bass? (Perhaps I should ask on which Bass do you like which facing, I know that your bass clarinets seem to breed like rabbits.)

It's clarnibass not carnibass
Anyway, I'm not sure what you meant by "Perhaps I should ask on which Bass do you like which facing, I know that your bass clarinets seem to breed like rabbits", since I have only one bass clarinet. What did you mean?
I play the most open Fobes model which if I remember correct is called HB and has a 2.00mm tip opening.
