Hello,
I was looking for duet music for oboe and clarinet and there seem to be very few.
The only two I could find on sale were
Duo for oboe and clarinet - by A. Berger published by C.F. Peters
Fanfare- Toccata - by Walter Wurzberger published by Cool Wind Music
It seems that I will have to order over the computer and I don't want to mess up. My partner and I are looking for a challenge (RCM 8+). Has anyone heard of these pieces?

A friend and I wrote a short 2-movement piece for oboe and clarinet a couple of years ago for composer's club at my high school. Unfortunately it isn't published, and I don't have the manuscripts anymore. Sorry!

There are also three volumes edited by Andraud for the combination of flute/oboe and clarinet. They are published by southern music company. There are indications of when to use higher and lower registers based on which instrument is being used. This is a good source for basic repertoire for this combination, Bach, Mozart and Handel mostly. There are some longer ones in the third volume by Gambaro which are very suitable for a performance in my opinion.

Allan Blank's "Four Bagatelles" on both the database and the Luyben catalog list is a good piece. I played it a lot at one point for school concerts.

The Beethoven duet is published by Amadeus for basset horn or clarinet in Bb and oboe with piano. It is on hand in the Los Angeles Public Library, if that helps. Good luck!

not surprising there's little written, not a particularly synergistic combination
Without music, the world would be grey, very grey.

There's a terrific set of four little pieces by Ross Edwards. Not hugely difficult to play (approx 5th grade - too easy for what you're after?) and they're all over and done with in about 8 minutes, but they fit nicely into a recital.
Also, check out Bisoux (sp?) by Gerard Brophy - cor anglais and bass clarinet. Much more difficult, fairly "outside".
Both these pieces were recorded a few years ago by Philippa Robinson. Try the Australian Music Centre website as the first port of call.
cheers - db
