Hello,
Today, the US Naval Academy Band made their clarinet position officially open, as I told you a month or so ago. The position is listed as clarinet/saxophone. The job would be section clarinet in concert band and saxophone in ceremonial/marching band. I am told that the saxophone playing would only be rudimentary and if you played saxophone poorly, but won the clarinet audition, you would be hired. The audition is on January 4th, but is subject to change. Visit www.usna.edu/USNABand if you are interested.
As I stated last month, anyone on this board that is interested in the position is welcome to stay at my house to reduce travelling expenses--first come/first served. I'll be glad to answer any questions you may have. Good luck.
