Hello...I need some help with confirmation of a LeBlanc LL. How can I positivitly identify a LL? Is there a serial number prefix or LeBlanc makers mark? I am under the impression the letter "G" printed above the LeBlanc name followed by the Roman III are the correct marks for an LL. Is this correct?

On all of the LLs I've seen, sop/alto/bass, they are distinguished by the "intertwined" pair of Ls, perhaps only on the upper joint around the other logo. I believe the older LL sops were all about 14.80-.85 mm [medium] cylindrical bores, so a measurement might have some meaning, to separate them from the bigs [P F et al} and smalls 14.6-.7. Luck, Don

That's it...you are the man. There are a pair of LL intertwined, with another pair facing them on the upper joint. If yoo look at it from a distance it appears to look like a double triangle, pretty fancey. Thank you for your help in this matter.

The 'III' is part of the lyre that forms the background to the logo - they're the three strings.

If you use your imagination, the LL's kinda look like a ten gallon cowboy hat. then again maybe I've been in the Arizona sun too long. 25 years worth!
