 Difficult Music

I've been wondering what piece people think is the most difficult for the clarinet. I expect to get mixed replies, but please feel free to voice your opinion. Thank You

One of the most difficult I believe is the Copland. It is very technically difficult, and you have to have a lot of stamina to play for 17 minutes straight by yourself! (I wasn't counting piano or orchestra)

I agree with the Copland Concerto. But for A clarinet, I feel that the Neilsen Concerto is the most difficult. Just by looking at it, you can tell it is difficult.

The Corigliano is not supposed to be real easy ...

so far i've played Von Weber's Concerto #2 Polacca and that has some areas that are challenging also Spohr's Concerto #2 or 3 i think! it's hard

I played the Bozza Concerto this year, and I'm planning to play the Nielsen Concerto as a senior solo next year. How do you think they compare?

The Neilson is tough and the Bozza is a real bear, especially the last movement, but I am with Mark. The Corigliano gets my vote.

Is the Corigiliano for Bb or A?

I tend to agree with an old teacher of mine,
An easy piece is something you play badly, because it is easy to play badly.

A difficult piece is something you play well, because it is difficult to play well.

I think, You can understand "difficult" in several ways, but if difficult="technically demanding" the most difficult piece is Francaix“s concerto, I suppose. But if "difficult is something else, Debussy“s rhapsody is difficult as well?
