on page 29 of "the Clarinet" is an ad for the San Francisco Conservatory with a photo of a clarinet player. i'm pretty sure it's an old shot of Patrick Barry (Associate Principal, then Co-Principal of the NZSO). He's a fabulous clarinet player who studied at SF Con- i just heard him play a new contemporary concerto last week. Not a bad bit of promotion for the Con, a pity they didn't mention it in the advertisement.....
